Tasks:
Day 23 - Saturday
night Task
BB tells a housemate to open
the envelope, and Tanya reads the details of the task; 'watch your elocution',
says Fed as Tania begins to read the details. It's called Relay Charade, one
person must be chosen as the guesser, but this person will automatically lose
the task! Jon immediately volunteers himself. The
guesser will only go in the room if everyone else loses, the housemates have to
perform their charades and the guesser has to get it right to send them to the
reward room. The one minute for the guesser to be elected begins,
with Jon stating that he's perfectly prepared to sacrifice himself as he's been
in 3 weeks running; Steph clarifies that they can have as many chances as they
like in six minutes, while Ray wonders whether they can pass if they get stuck.
Jon is formally chosen, and sits in the chair after being thanked by everyone
else. Jon reads the next part, with housemates performing having
to go to the bedroom and everyone else watches what's going on on the plasma
screen; winners have to wear a party hat and must tag the others to go to
perform; a performer may give up but they automatically lose if they do so. The
housemates can't say or mouth any words or use anything other than traditional
signals; they may only perform one charade, so they don't have as many goes as
they wish. Partial correct answers will not be accepted; anyone who doesn't get
to perform loses. The performers have one minute to choose their
order and are shown some charade tips on a laminate; Jon says that they each
have slightly less than 50 seconds to perform. Fed goes first, Ray goes
second... and the action helpfully cuts away from the order being decided as
Steph goes third, Nush fourth, and the rest of the order is lost.
The housemates continue to determine signals as a clock appears and the klaxon
sounds; Fed goes to the diary room but is told to come back. He runs as fast as
he can and wastes a lot of time, or rather BB wastes it for him; he gets his
card, goes to the bedroom and it's a 1 word film. It's 'Shrek' which Jon got
immediately; everyone tells him to get his hat and Ray is next; 'The Naked Chef'
is his programme and there's 4 and a half mins remaining. Ray
tries to do a 'chef' motion and Jon gets it; everyone cheers and Ray is reminded
to put his hat on. Four minutes to go... Steph is next and it's Buffy; she goes
to the bedroom and makes a stabbing motion before putting up four fingers for
four words. She's all over the place but can't do Buffy; she gets it and gets
her hat. Nush is next and says the F-word as BB tells her tersely to sit down. I
didn't see what it is, unfortunately... but Jon gets 'Raindrops Keep Falling on
My Head' and there's 2 and a half mins to go. Tania has 'Genie In
A Bottle'; she thinks for a long time before Jon tells her 'how many words', she
says something which surely means she must lose. She begins to giggle and the
time runs to below a minute and a half; she tries to get there and screams as
Jon guesses correctly. Cam is next with a minute to go; it's Bohemiam Rhapsody,
what a hard one!! 40 seconds to go; Cameron mimics a
snake and they get a 30 sec warning. He gives us; very admirable of him and
Scott has eight seconds to go. He's gonna run out of time and he does; he seems
a bit disappointed and the klaxon sounds, while everyone is told to wait at the
sofas. Scott says that he
would've got Dirty Dancing had he had more time, and BB announces that Fed,
Tania, Nush, Steph and Ray have won. The losers are told to stay on the sofas,
and the winners go to the diary room; 'eat it all', says Jon as the winners
enter the room; they're told of the gamble, with one having to act a charade to
the losers in one minute to win the loser who guesses a place in the room, but
if it isn't guessed, the winner will lose his place. Fed elects
to do it, and Nush is told that the person who guesses it right wins a place
too; he asks if he can tell them the details, and BB says that the losers will
be told as well. It'll be interesting to see how difficult his charade is; the
winners apart from Fed leave the room, and Fed's charade is 'Jailhouse Rock'. He
understands the rules, and leaves the room... The klaxon sounds,
but the first few seconds are taken up with BB's instructions; is that planned?
It obviously isn't as the clock restarts and Cameron gets it a few seconds
afterwards; he looks thrilled and gets a kiss on the forehead from Fed. Fed
states that Cameron won and they join the rest of the winners by the kitchen
worktop; Gos states that it's 'out of order' but Scott comments that the winners
'shouldn't crow about it'. Jon says that the outcome is fair's
fair as the winners go to the reward room; they get clapped off and go to the
room. It has been turned into a 50s diner and everyone cheers and dances as Fed
gets cuddled and Steph eats some nachos; Cameron states that they can order
meals and they've got Grease style costumes to wear, while Gos tells Scott that
'we are the best' as Scott comments that 'it's fair'. Jon wants to go to the
toilet as Fed hands out the costumes; 'this is mad', says Ray as Cameron puts on
a leather jacket with the girls wearing pink jackets. Jon comments
that he guessed Shrek from Fed's false start. When Fed rushed in the first time,
he accidently showed the card as in the picture on the
left! but maybe Big Borhter realising that nearly a
minute had been wasted decided to let it go??
Day 17 - New Weekly
task!
The
housemates will be required to memorise and perform
a mystery piece of music on Wednesday using handbells.
The piece will consist of
a series of 94 numbers and won't require the housemates
to read music. They will be given the first 40 numbers
today, a further 40 on Monday and the final 14 on Tuesday.
They will receive handbells
to practise on, but without the clappers. However on
Wednesday when they perform the task they will have
fully functioning bells. They will have two attempts
at performing the piece correctly in a ten minute period.
The rules state that every
housemate must take part; that each housemate will only
be allowed to practise on their own two bells; that
bells must not be damaged in any way and housemates
may not say notes aloud during the final performance.
they decided to bet 65% of
their food budget, so if they lose, this will mean surviving
on just 52 pence per person, per day!! ha ha
Will they pass??? ha ha,
I do not think so!!
